[Glyph of Renewal][Wandering Eye][Clumsiness][Mind Wrack][Cry of Pain][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support][Summon Ruby Djinn][Energy Tap] or [Resurrection Signet]

Having Loads of fun with this! I have severely underestimated Glyph of renewals power! Double sins, double cry's, triple clumsiness/wandering eye spam thing, Instant energy bar refill when I lack the Blood renewal Hench. So much fun and effective! Love Glyphs low recharge. I think I prefer it more then Echo.

Usually run with

[Castigation Signet][Ray of Judgment][Reversal of Damage][Smite Hex][Aegis][Divine Healing][Smiter's Boon][Resurrection Signet]


[Castigation Signet][Ray of Judgment][Reversal of Damage][Smite Condition][Aegis][Divine Healing][Smiter's Boon][Resurrection Signet]

[Aura of the Lich][Animate Bone Minions][Death Nova][Blood of the Master][Putrid Bile][Weaken Armor][Signet of Lost Souls][Resurrection Signet]

Or when MM isn't worth bringing, like when there are tons of djinns or I need some wards

[Churning Earth][Unsteady Ground][Sliver Armor][Ash Blast][Ward Against Elements][Ward of Stability][Earth Attunement][Resurrection Signet]

Usually Bring Heal hench, prot hench, Necro Blood renewal Hench, and warrior/derv hench for a meat shield. Love the damage and protection.

I know I didn't come up with the RoJ builds, don't say I did XP

Sliver helps sousuke stay alive and KD's are always a plus. I deal massive oE damage myself also so....FUN! Give it a try!

Looks good. Only change I would make is bring in Dwayna's Sorrow in somewhere. That skill is seriously OP with Bone Minions in HM.

I would switch AP for the elite glyph , it recharges all your skills and gives you energy.

It is Stronger, I just Prefer the Knockdown addition since most AoE causes scatter. RoJ doesn't though XP

I know AP is popular, but I am still kind of against using it from stubbornness. Probably because everyone uses it XP Never got the chance to use glyph so im using this.

I would think [glyph of renewal] and [assassin's promise] would serve two separate functions. While AP gives you skill recharge and energy upon foe death, Glyph of Renewal allows you to use a skill like CoP or EVAS twice on the same foe. In that way, it's more like bringing [echo] or [arcane echo].

Only suggestion I would make would be to drop [Mind Wrack] for something you have points in, like [fragility] or [shrinking armor]. I would also consider [drain delusions] for energy management over energy tap. Even if you glyph E-tap, you only net like 2 energy first cast and then 7 the next.

Ooooh your right. I was so used to domination that kept mind wrack on there. Fragility would be nice.

I gotta try drain delusions too. Only used to using it in pvp

Why use [glyph of renewal] if you can bring [echo] instead? With [echo] you could also use [glyph of lesser energy] (since your glyph slow is not used), which is way better then [energy tap].

I used to use echo. However With echo you are stuck with that one skill for 30 seconds. With glyph I can cast two ebon assassins, then shortly after cast 2 clumsiness and wandering eye, then very shortly after that cast fragility and 2 cry of pains.

I don't like being stuck with the same duplicate for 30 seconds. Drain delusions will be better to use then glyph also.

Honestly I would never waste an echo on energy management like that. I would just bring the elite energy tap instead. The only reason I used to glyph energy tap was because glyph has a low recharge and 10 seconds later (instead of 30) I can use it on another skill.

I disagree.

If the attacking foe is licking floor it's not hurting you. We're talking Hard Mode here - Physicals hit hard, and even if they're taking more damage in a sandstorm your party's health is still decreasing. Sandstorm also costs more, and has a longer recharge. In Hard Mode foes will flee from it after a few seconds making it a waste. It's "ok" in Normal Mode I suppose. You could snare foes to keep them in it, or chain Dragon Stomps, but they still wouldn't be attacking whilst trying to flee.

On the topic of the Mesmer build, I'd agree with dropping [[Glyph of Renewal] for something like [[Assassin's Promise]. Also, given your Monks are already burning things with RoJ, why not drop Res Signet on the Necro and give him Enfeebling Blood, then you take [[Summon Naga Shaman], who spams [[Stoning] for a nice bit of Knockdown.

I updated it due to suggestions and it runs much smoother now. I am still running Glyph just because I find it more useful to cast multiple times on the same target then worry about my spells being ready for the next enemy. Which they normally are.

Another idea: You could bring [[mantra of recovery] instead of [[glyph of renewal], Spreading the increased recharge over all your skills instead of focusing it on one. Don't know if that would be actually better ... just an idea.

And I'd change [[fragility] to [[frustration]. All your interrupts will trigger the bonus damage, including [[wandering eye] and [[clumsiness].

By the way, you nearly got my build there. I'm using this one:
[Wandering Eye][Clumsiness][Lyssa's Aura][Frustration][Cry of Pain] + 3 of: [Arcane Echo][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Pain Inverter][summon ruby djinn][finish him][you move like a dwarf] or any other PvE skill you like

I found that the additional energy from [[Lyssa's Aura] in the end allows me to cast more spells then [[echo] or [[mantra of recovery]. Using a 36% reduced cooldown set for Illusion magic of cause.

I actually did use mantra for the longest time. For some reason i just believe glyph is a bit more usefull.

Mantra requires a good amount in fast casting to be active for a good amount, which isnt that bad.

I use fragility over frustration because its cheaper and has an extremly short recharge time.

As another comment... Glyph does avoid the downside of Assassin's Promise in that relying too much on the latter can result in losing your elite entirely if it fails or gets removed (which, in some builds, leads to the build being shut down entirely). It may not happen often, but when it does, it hurts. Glyph also doesn't require investment in Deadly Arts and doesn't lock out GOLE as a form of energy management.

On the other hand, Glyph doesn't give the same wtfpwn potential that AP does when the latter is on fire (you're not going to see six assassins on the field simultaneously from one person, for instance). I'd probably judge AP-based builds to be superior in many areas, but this may well win out against heavy hex removal, foes with heavy defensive capability, and other situations where AP has a higher chance of failure.

Oh, and there's probably no reason for you not to trade the res sig in the variable slot for its Sunspear counterpart.

Dude... U just inspired me to make a mesmer... I've never had on ein PVE before, ever, never really liked em.... Played plenty in PVP, really fun... I see alot of the new skills have beefed this class alot... Making one tonight!!! TA!!!

I think I do
you have a limit of 3 PvE only skills to use on your skill bar, and those 3 slots are already taken without the sunspear rebirth sig, hence you cant fit it

very true Igor, kd>extra damage for 2 reasons:
1. kded foes cant hit you, thus you also prevent damage. see protection prayers
2. kded foes cant move, thus they stay in your AoE.

with [sandstorm] foes wouldnt stay in it for the entire duration, thus it deals less damage. even if you do bring a snare the foes will try to run away thus wont attack and therefore wont receive the extra damage that [sandstorm] deals to attacking foes.
